The Special Funds of Altrusa International, Inc. of Tucson became an exempt not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization August 5, 1969.  The Special Funds Committee is comprised of nine trustees who serve three year terms on a rotating basis.  Members are required to have been a member of the Altrusa Club for at least five years.  Between July 1999 - May 2002, $25,998.00 in scholarships have been awarded for tuition to the University of Arizona and Pima Community College.
